Recruitment

Are you looking at expanding your workforce or investing in the area and need new staff? We can help you find a workforce to suit your needs. The Economic Development Team can offer a variety of free services, with help from national organisations also available.

Bedford is central - that's why people love living here.  We have produced two brochures at the request of Bedford’s business community to help you with your recruitment. For more info on Moving to Bedford, please visit here

The Jobs Hub

The Council's Jobs Hub team offers a free brokerage service to employers. With local knowledge and excellent relationships, the team can help you recruit one employee or 100+. They have recently worked with several large businesses that have relocated to the area and can offer:

  • Assessment Centres
  • Selection process
  • Candidate Shortlisting
  • Interview facilities

For more information, please contact The Jobs Hub on 01234 223510 or email the.jobshub@bedford.gov.uk

Apprenticeships

If you are thinking of taking on a new member of staff, why not consider recruiting an apprentice as part of your workforce? The Bedford Apprenticeship Hub can support you with the process. In addition, SME’s may be eligible for a Government funded grant of £1,500.

Apprentices bring considerable value to organisations and can provide your business with a highly skilled workforce, boost your productivity, profitability and staff retention and bring new ideas and innovation to your business.

The Bedford Apprenticeship Hub works with local employers, and we have set up an Apprenticeship Ambassador group to support and provide information to other employers interested in hiring an apprentice. For further information on apprentices in Bedford, please visit the Apprenticeships page or contact the Jobs Hub on 01234 223510 or thejobshub@bedford.gov.uk

More information about apprenticeships can be found on the National Apprenticeship website or by calling 0800 0150400

Graduate Internships
