Statement of Gambling Licensing

The Licensing Authority’s current statement of Gambling Licensing Principles for the Borough is now three years old. The Authority is required to review its Statement every three years and this process is therefore being undertaken. 

 

In the three years since the Authority adopted its first Statement of Gambling Licensing Principles there have been no issues brought to the attention of the Authority that would require a radical re-writing of the Statement.  As such, the Authority seeks general views on this matter but also would welcome views on some relatively minor adjustments to the current Statement prepared. 

 

It is hoped that the changes suggested give some greater clarity of the statutory position and principles to be adopted by the Authority in relation to gambling licensing.  This document is available here:
