Budget 2015 Consultation
A range of proposals to produce a balanced
budget in the face of vast, ongoing reductions in government
funding have been published by Bedford Borough Council.
Achieving the savings required is vital as the
Council is legally required to put together a balanced budget.
Bedford Borough Council has prioritised front-line services while
achieving £62 million of required savings over the last five years,
and protecting local residents from the impact of declining
resources is again our priority.
The latest proposals are part of the Council’s
drive to achieve the £17 million of savings required by 2017.
