B Festival

Come to the ‘B Festival’ on Thursday 28th April!

Following on from the success of the inaugural B Festival 2010, Bedford School and international award winning vocal group VOCES8 are hosting an exciting evening with choirs and vocal groups from around the world coming to take part in an exciting a cappella festival on Thursday 28th April 2011.

The event will feature a wide array of outstanding performances from world‐class vocalists, including VOCES8 and Roxorloops, the world famous beatboxing champion. The Festival will also feature 300 singers in choirs and a cappella vocal groups from Bedford performing classical, jazz and pop music.

Celebrating the power of the voice and sharing a great evening of music, the event is designed to recognise and enjoy the best of Bedfordshire vocal music.

The B Festival is the culmination of a series of workshops which have been given by VOCES8 to the participating choirs, with the aim of inspiring creativity through music.

The participating choirs and vocal groups from Bedfordshire are: The Harmonettes, Goldington Academy Choir, Shannon Express, Oakley Community Choir, Ursula Taylor Lower School, Scott Lower School Choir, The Bath’s Oliver, Bedford Modern Junior School and St Andrew’s Senior School Choir.

Entry to the event will be free for all. Doors open at 6.20pm and the event commences at 6.30pm in the Great Hall at Bedford School.
