Thank You Benedict!

It was a great day for the pupils of Kymbrook Lower School on 26th March, when Benedict Allen, author, explorer, TV filmmaker-presenter and international motivational speaker, took a day out of his busy schedule to talk to the children about his many expeditions.

The topic ‘Mountains High and Oceans Deep’, meant children listened to stories of bravery and daring jungle, desert, and polar region antics, all told with an impressive photo display. To help bring his speech alive, Benedict brought along a set of artefacts, including his survival kit.

Benedict also described, in detail, his relationships with his camels and his dog team which was a particular hit with the children.

Cllr David Sawyer, Portfolio Holder for Education at Bedford Borough Council, said: “Guest speakers such as Benedict are great at injecting enthusiasm into a school. Motivational speakers provide benefit to many as their experience and wisdom is shared, and can leave children with a hunger for knowledge.”

It was an inspirational experience that the children may never forget.

Thank you Benedict!
