Bedford Continental Market

Bedford Market Goes Continental!

A host of international goods will be available in Bedford town centre this week with Bedford’s regular stalls being bolstered with a global flavour.

 

Markets are held in the town centre from Wednesday through to Saturday and this week will be joined by a special market selling goods from across the world including:

 

  • Olives, nuts, baklava
  • Caribbean food
  • Venison sausage & roast pork
  • Crepes
  • Sweets
  • Paella
  • Garden furniture
  • Handmade leather goods
  • Peruvian crafts
  • T shirt printing
  • Toys
  • Football memorabilia


Bedford’s market history dates back 800 years when King Henry II granted the charter in 1166 which allowed Bedfordians to hold their own market.

Bedford Markets take place throughout the week as follows;

 

Wednesday and Saturday: Charter Markets

 

Thursday: Gourmet Food Market

 

Thursday: Kempston General Market
