Bamberg Beer Fest

Cheers! Bedford Bamberg Spring Fest set to return

Bedford’s Harpur Suite is set to be transformed into a German Beer Hall with the launch of the ninth annual Bedford Bamberg Spring Fest!

This year’s event takes place on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 April with 18 German beers on tap and many more bottles, wine and schnapps on offer including beers brewed in Bamberg, Bedford’s twin town.

However, if none of that sounds like your thing, there’s always the German barbecue, live music and authentic beer hall anthems from German band ‘Dom Bosco’.

Spring Fest is one of the most popular events celebrated in Bedford, and always attracts hundreds of people throughout the weekend.

Councillor Sarah-Jayne Holland, Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture at Bedford Borough Council, said: “The Bedford Bamberg Spring Fest is always an extremely popular event and we hope this year will be no different. This is an excellent opportunity to experience the most authentic sights, sounds and tastes of a Springfest outside Munich.”

Bedford’s Spring Fest Event began in 2008 to highlight Bedford’s twinning with the German town of Bamberg; both of which towns are famous for their beer brewing.

The event runs between noon and midnight. Entry is free. For further information, please visit http://www.bedfordcornexchange.co.uk/
