The Bedford Room
If you find you have had enough leftover turkey this Christmas
and fancy a change of scene, bear in mind that you can visit the
Bedford Room which is located in the Tourist
Information Centre, to discover more about the Bedford’s rich and
fascinating history. Perhaps you’ve spent all your money on festive
gifts, and if so, it is also worth noting that the Bedford Room is
free to enter.
The Bedford Room hosts a range of material to
enable individuals to discover exactly what makes Bedford unique.
Visitors can experience an audio guide depicting 1,000 year’s of
Bedford’s history while at the same time viewing a mural of images
to bring the experience to life. The lively narration is
available in two versions with one more suitable for adults and the
other; for children.
The Tourist Information Office, leading on
from The Bedford Room, also hosts shopping advice, guides as to
where to eat, transport advice, and if you are planning to travel
to London this holiday season - you can even pick up an Oyster
card, at a total value of £18.
The Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson,
