Riseley Lower School Winner

Bedfordshire School Meals Week

There will be some rather fun characters descending upon Riseley Lower School on Wednesday 10th February, at 11am, to congratulate the artistic talents of one of their students - competition winner, 7 year-old Joy Keenan.

Eden Foodservice are planning to dress up as huge vegetables to congratulate Joy, who had designed her winning poster entry to help promote eating well together in schools across the area.

The respective Portfolio Holders for Children’s Services, Cllr Anita Lewis, at Central Bedfordshire Council and Cllr David Sawyer at Bedford Borough Council said: “It’s fantastic to see children so passionate and excited about Eating Well and being involved with their school dinners. These competitions have shown that by making food fun, children are exposed to healthy options that will benefit them in the long run.”
