Romance on the Road

Romance on the Road in Bedford Borough

Bedford Borough’s Mobile Library has been selected by publishers Mills and Boon to take part in their Romance on the Road Campaign this Valentine’s Day.

Running from 6th to 18th February the Romance on the Road campaign celebrates the mobile libraries that make the joys of reading available to those unable to reach a library.

Books, sweets and cards will be distributed to users of the Mobile Library at selected stops throughout the campaign; and on February 14th customers at every stop will be offered the chance to get their hands on the special treats.

The campaign features four books from the most popular Mills & Boon genres to offer something for everyone this Valentine’s Day. Books featured include Vows They Can't Escape by Heidi Rice, Miss Bradshaw’s Bought Betrothal by Virginia Heath, A Forever Family for the Army Doc by Meredith Webber and Winning the Nanny’s Heart by Shirley Jump.

Bedford Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Leisure and Culture Sarah-Jayne Holland said ‘Bedford Borough Council’s Mobile Library is an invaluable service and we are so pleased to be able to work with the Reading Agency and Mills and Boon to bring the joys of reading to residents unable to reach a library.’

‘Our team are looking forward delivering a little romance to our residents this Valentine’s Day.’
