You Can Run But Can You Surf?

The Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson,
will accompany five world famous Kenyan athletes on a visit to
‘Bodyflight’, in Bedford, this Friday 11th June, from
9am – midday.
The team will have the opportunity to try out
some of the features hosted within Bodyflight, such as the zip
wire, the vertigo jump and/or new wave machine – named the

Kenyan athletes (Paul Tergat, Catherine Ndereba, Duncan
Kibet, BenjaminLimo, Samuel Wanjiru), as
they carry out a packed timetable of events, inspiring those they
come into contact with along the way.
The athletes will also visit children’s wards
within the hospital, integrate with students on school visits, and
even challenge locals to endurance running master classes for local
aspiring athletes. The ‘Athletics Kenya’ visit is also hoped to
spur on various projects and help introduce an annual 10k race
within Bedford’s town centre, and school twinning arrangements.
