Ageing Well 2014

ARE YOU AGED 50? OR OVER…

If you are 50 years of age, or older, get your diaries ready for a superb event.  This year’s ‘Ageing Well Exhibition’ is taking place at the Bedford Corn Exchange on Wednesday 4th June, from 10am – 3pm.  The day is set up for those 50+ who are looking for ways to ‘live life to the full’.

On the day, there will be an array of stalls hosted by up to 43 different charities and organisations, all serving to provide information and advice and guidance on matters that affect people later in life.

Interest areas that are of importance to this age group range from health matters to seeking possible hobbies for retirement, household security and benefit advice - there will also be an opportunity to enter the Free Prize Draw to win tickets to a Bedford Corn Exchange show.

Cllr Colleen Atkins, Executive Member for Adults’ Services at Bedford Borough Council, said: “This is always a very popular and well attended event. There is an array of information available which will help older people to be able to live life to the full. It is a relaxed social event which shows individuals the range of support services available to them. We are keen to help enhance people’s lives and to make life as easy as possible by reducing the challenges that ageing can bring. I look forward to seeing lots of older people at the event.”
