EU Referendum

Referendum on the United Kingdom’s Membership of the European Union

Polling Stations will open at 7AM and close at 10PM on 23rd June

British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens aged 18 or over who are resident in the UK or Gibraltar will be eligible to vote. UK citizens resident overseas will also be eligible to vote, provided they have been registered to vote at a UK address in the last 15 years.

You can vote at your local polling station on Thursday 23 June. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.

Registered voters who are entitled to vote in this referendum will be issued with a ballot paper which asks the questions should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union.

You don’t need your poll card to vote but if you lose or don’t receive it you can contact Bedford Borough Council on 01234 276916 to find out where your polling station is.

If you applied to vote by post, you will need to return your completed ballot paper in the envelope supplied to reach us by 10pm on 23 June 2016 in order for your vote to be counted. Postal votes for Bedford Borough can be handed in to any Bedford Borough polling station up until 10pm on the 23 June. A link to the locations for all polling stations in Bedford borough is available here.

Count processes will be carried out overnight, starting at the close of poll, at 10pm.

With heavy rainfall predicted please allow extra time to get to your polling station and vote in the referendum.
