Temporary Closure of Archive Service

The Archives Service provided by Bedford Borough Council on behalf of the Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton Councils will be closed to visitors from Monday 14th to Friday 18th February.

This is as a result of office reorganisation to accommodate volunteers and additional storage space for archives and records. This follows the successful award of almost £39,000 under the National Cataloguing Grants Scheme. The team would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Please note that during this period, staff will still be responding to letters, telephone calls and e-mails, but enquiry work may take longer than usual to complete.

The service, which is based at the Riverside Building at Borough Hall, will

re-open as usual on Monday 21st February.
