Bedford Borough 50+ Festival

If you are 50 years of age, or older, get your diaries ready for a superb event. This year’s FREE to enter ‘Bedford Borough 50+ Festival’ (formerly known as the ‘Older Peoples’ Festival’) is taking place at the Corn Exchange, on Wednesday 18th May, from 10am – 3pm. The day is set up for those 50+ who are looking for ways to ‘live life to the full’.

On the day, there will be an array of stalls hosted by up to 43 different charities and organisations, all serving to provide information and advice on matters that affect older people. Free health checks will also be available for visitors up to 74 years old, and living in Bedford.

Interest areas that are of importance to this age group range from health matters to seeking possible hobbies for retirement, household security, and even benefit advice… and you name it, it’s available on the day!

Frank Toner, Executive Director for Adult and Community Services, at Bedford Borough Council, said: “This yearly event always proves to be popular, individuals get the chance to socialise with others at similar life stages and find information on topics that are relevant to them. This occasion is particularly impressive in that, by dropping in on the day, an individual can discover something new that could positively impact upon the rest of their lives.”
