8th June Election - Register to
Vote
To vote in the June 8 General Election, you
need to register to vote by 22 May 2017. It’s quick and easy to
register, should take just a few mins…about the same time as it
takes to make a cuppa!
Are you one of the 1 in 3 18-24 year olds who
aren’t registered to vote nationally? Make sure you don’t lose your
right to vote.
Philip Simpkins, Chief Executive of Bedford
Borough Council, said: “We want people to exercise their democratic
right, it is a very important vote and one that no-one should take
for granted.”
Polling cards have been issued to the 119,000
eligible residents already registered, while those who have
requested postal votes will start to receive them from Friday 19
May. You should have received your poll card, if not, contact
