YOU CAN HELP MAKE NEWNHAM MIDDLE SCHOOL THE
Art.co.uk, the online destination dedicated to
experiencing and buying art, challenged three schools to take part
in the Autumn Art Sparks Learning
campaign earlier this year. Each school was given 20 framed
artworks by Art.co.uk, but it is the public who choose which school
should win the grand prize of £750 worth of art supplies for their
school, to further inspire the artists of tomorrow.

Since January, a new Art Team at Newnham
Middle School has been packed with students eager to express their
creativity. A recent unit on Pop Art introduced pupils to the work
of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein and students turned their own
self-portraits into colourful ceramic tiles. Local artists have
also partnered with students to paint a mural outside their
Cllr Henry Vann, Portfolio Holder for
Education at Bedford Borough Council, said: “We hope that the
students at Newnham get the chance to use these resources and I
would encourage you to vote on-line now! The children
thoroughly deserve to win and I hope that they get the
opportunity to create some fantastic art as a result.”

Boston, said: “We have been so lucky to have been shortlisted by
Art.co.uk and are thrilled with our stunning new Art collection;
this week, we revealed the framed pictures to the pupils in our
Celebration Assembly. However, we still have a chance to win a
further prize of £750 of art equipment, which would make a huge
difference to our Art department, and we need peoples’
