Higgins Workshops

Higgins Bedford Half-Term Workshops; release your child’s inner artist!

This half-term, several artist-led, fun-packed drop-in sessions are being held at The Higgins Bedford which will release your child’s inner artist!

On Saturday 24th October, artist and illustrator Katie Allen will be leading some BIG DRAW adventures in watercolour. The free event is inspired by The Higgins’ major new exhibition on J.M.W. Turner & “The Art of Watercolour.” Why not see if you can paint like Turner and come along for free!

On Tuesday 27th October, Lisa Tilley will be going potty! Or rather, Lisa will be making pots and vessels inspired by the ancient pots in The Higgins Bedford’s collection, so come along and create your own!

On Wednesday 28th October there will be a chance to design and print a book cover, inspired by Edward Bawden’s Book Illustrations.

On Friday 30th October there will be a chance to get ready for Halloween and to make your own mythological mask!

All activities cost £2.25 per participating child and all sessions start 11am, 12noon, 2pm and 3pm. The sessions are suitable for all children aged 3 years+, no booking is required but children must be accompanied by an adult.
