World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day 10th October 2016 - Bedford Central Library

Bedford Borough Council’s Sports Development Team invite you to join them and their partners, Mind in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes; and the East London NHS Foundation Trust, for World Mental Health Day at an event in Bedford on the 10th October, outside Bedford Central Library.

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10th October every year as an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilising efforts in support of mental health.

To further raise awareness of the physical health and mental health link the Council is working in partnership with mental health services and wellbeing organisations MIND BLMK (Mind in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes)and the East London NHS Foundation Trust to promote mental wellbeing at a pop up event outside Bedford Central Library in the town centre for World Mental Health Day.

Relevant organisations will be on hand to answer questions and hand out information about services in Bedford. The “Break The Stigma” campaign will be promoting positive discussions around mental health, and there will also be free table tennis available and the opportunity to try out the smoothie bike.

All visitors are welcome at the free event between 10am - 2pm on 10th October 2016.
