Half Term at The Higgins

Half Term at The Higgins Bedford

It’s an exciting half term at The Higgins Bedford with lots of activities planned for all the family.

Take the kids exploring with Kevin the Platypus. Just pick up a free Tree Trail guide and discover all sorts of interesting and surprising objects made from trees.

Or they can become a Museum Explorer by picking up a free Passport from the Front Desk, and by completing a few missions they will achieve an Arts Award Discover.

Plenty of craft and tree activities on offer too with tree printing workshops on Tuesday 24th October or the chance to create a leafy light on Friday 27th October, with both these sessions running at 11am, noon and 2pm costing £2.70 per child.  There will also be the chance to make tree portraits on Wednesday 25th October in two free drop-in sessions from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.

Other free gallery activities on Wednesday 25th October include being a Geology Detective from 11am-1pm, while Access Bedford is also running a finger spelling fun and British Sign Language activities from 11am-1pm.

Cllr Sarah-Jayne Holland, Portfolio Holder for Leisure said: “There are a lot of fun activities at The Higgins Bedford this half term. Get the whole family along to meet Kevin the Platypus, get exploring, and enjoy our local Museum and Gallery.”
