A list of all Primary, Infant and Junior schools in Bedford and whether they were oversubscribed or not-oversubscribed on national offer day 2017 (18th April).

Please include each school’s Unique Reference Number (URN), DFE code, or address/postcode to allow us to identify each relevant school without ambiguity.

We define a school to be oversubscribed if, and only if, at least one on-time applicant was refused a place and the applicant did not receive an offer from any higher preference school.

If there were no refusals to on-time applicants - even if the school was unable to accept one or more late applications, or admitted over its published admission number - then we do not consider this school to be oversubscribed.

If you use a different definition of oversubscription, then please make this clear in the response.

2   The total number of offers made at each school.

Questions 3-5 apply to oversubscribed schools only:

3   The number of on-time applicants refused a place who did not receive a place at any higher preference school.
By this we mean the number of unsuccessful on-time applicants remaining on each school’s waiting list.
Please answer for each individual school.

4  The admission criterion under which the last successful applicant was admitted.

5   The home-to-school distance of the last successful applicant, assuming distance was used to allocate this place.

Please include measurement units and whether this is based upon a walking/driving route, straight line/as the crow flies distance or an alternative measurement system.

I am writing this email, as I am looking out of my window watching children playing football. It is an open green, but I know when I moved here many years ago there was a sign which read. No Ball games. My concern is i have my car parked alongside this green with many others, and the cars are getting hit with the balls, I have picked up many numourous pieces of wood and stones which are used to hit the trees with. The green is used as a playground and there is rubbish left outside it looks like a tip.

I would appreciate it if you would look into the matter for me. I don't think they should be kicking balls about where there are loads of parked cars.

Thank you for your request for information about the green which we received on 10/4/17.  Your request has been considered under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you have requested is, under Exception 12(4) (a) of the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. 1)      I would like to be provided with the most recent zoo inspection reports for every zoo in your local authority area.

By zoo, I refer to the definition made under the Zoo Licensing Act 1981, which describes a zoo as ‘an establishment where wild animals are kept for exhibition to the public otherwise than for purposes of a circus and otherwise than in a pet shop; any zoo to which members of the public have access, with or without charge for admission, on more than seven days in any period of 12 consecutive months.

2)      I would also like to be provided with the accompanying stocklists and mortality lists for each zoo in your local authority area, accompanied by relevant post-mortem results where these are provided.

3)      I would lastly like to be provided with any complaints made to the local authority regarding each zoo – specifically focussing on the welfare of animals and the general management of each zoo. Complaints may have been made by concerned members of the public, other businesses or zoo staff. I am concerned with the time period January 2014 to the most recent on file. If you deem any of the above information is liable to be withheld for Data Protection reasons, I am happy for any names (of complainants, for example) to be redacted.
