Community Governance Review
For the Parishes of Ravensden and Brickhill
Including the Future Arrangement for the Development Known
as Woodlands Park
On 22 February 2013 the Borough
Council commenced a Community Governance Review for the two
Parishes of Brickhill and Ravensden. Details of the
Terms of Reference for the review including further information
about what is involved with a Community Governance Review are
available here.
Between 22 February and 21 May 2013
the Council invited submissions on the future community
governance arrangements in the two parishes.

Representations were also
received from Ravensden Parish Council, Brickhill Parish
Council and from Woodlands Park Residents Association. Click

A report was then submitted to the
Borough Council's General Purposes Committee. The

Having considered the report
above, the General Purposes Committee re-opened the Stage
Two consultation of the review for a further two month
period.
The implication of this decision
is that further time has been provided for views on options for
future community governance arrangements for the two
parishes. In particular, the Council wishes to receive
views from local government electors and others with an interest in
the review on the appropriate arrangements in respect of the
Woodlands Park development.
Further comments or representations on
the future arrangements were welcomed and made by 15
September 2013. The consultation has now
closed.

The report on the outcome of this
extended period of consultation was presented to the Borough
Council's General Purposes Committee on 5 November 2013.

Stage Four of this Community
Governance Review started 11 November 2013 and ended 6 January
2014.

The final recommendations were
presented to the General Purposes Committee on 21 January 2014
and approved by Full Council on 5 February 2014. The final
recommendations are available here. These recommendations
will be implemented on 1 April 2015.
