Terms and Conditions
MUSIC FOR BEDFORD BOROUGH LESSON/ENSEMBLE TERMS &
By registering for lessons/music
ensembles you are confirming that you have read and understood
Music for Bedford Borough’s terms and conditions and that you agree
to abide by them.
DELIVERY OF SERVICES
- 33 sessions will be offered to a published timetable each
academic year. The total cost of these activities is divided
by ten and payments are taken/invoiced monthly from October to
- A pro-rata credit or refund will be given at the end of the
summer term on written request where 33 large
group lessons or ensemble sessions have not been offered during the
year. Replacement sessions cannot be offered in the event of
a student sickness or any unauthorised student absence. Where a
student misses a session due to a voluntary activity (e.g. a
school activity or trip) or due to illness or exam leave, these
missed sessions will count towards the sessions offered each
year. Only sessions missed through teacher absence may be
credited to you.
- Where a parent misses a payment, Music for Bedford Borough
reserves the right to stop providing sessions. We will take
legal steps to recover monies owed and we may charge an
administration fee to reinstate lessons. Non-Direct Debit or
BACS payers are subject to a 5% surcharge on the fee.
- Session charges set by Music for Bedford Borough are reviewed
each academic year.
ENDING YOUR CONTRACT
- If you wish to cancel your child's music sessions, you can
terminate your contract with Music for Bedford Borough by providing
one full month's written notice by the first of the

Written notice will NOT be accepted if sent to the child's teacher
- This contract is continuous until the parent/carer gives notice
to cease. This includes the transfer of children to new

SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN OUTSIDE ACTIVITY
- Parents/carers are responsible for the supervision of their
children outside of our advertised delivery timetable. If
your child is not attending a rehearsal but remains on the premises
(e.g. only attending 3 of the 4 activities at our music centre)
Music for Bedford Borough cannot supervise your child during this
time. Any student under the age of 16 will not be allowed to
leave any activity (unless in their own school during school time)
without your written consent. You can indicate this on the
