food products to other countries for sale. Many countries have
restrictions regarding what can be imported, and there may also be
requirements for food being sold in that country. It is the
responsibility of the person exporting the food to ensure that all
the relevant restrictions and requirements are complied with.
You should contact the embassy or consulate of
the country you wish to export to. They will be able to provide you
with information regarding any import restrictions for that
Food Export Health Certificates
Many countries outside the EU require imported
food to be accompanied by a food export health certificate. This
certifies that the food has been produced in a premises which
complies with the legislation of the UK.
