Registration of Food Premises
Registration applies to most types of food
business, including catering businesses run from home and mobile or
temporary premises, such as stalls and vans. If you use two or more
premises, you will need to register all of them.
When starting a new food business you must
register your premises with the Commercial Regulation Team at least
28 days before opening.
If you change the type or style of food you
sell, or the owner of the business changes, you must notify us of
the changes as soon as possible.
If food premises are used by several catering
businesses (for example, a village hall or conference centre), the
person who allows the premises to be used for this purpose is
responsible for registering them.
To register your food business or advise us of
any changes, please download and complete the form below, and
return it to the Commercial Regulation Team, Borough Hall,
Cauldwell Street, Bedford MK42 9AP.
