Recycling in Flats

Most blocks of flats in Bedford Borough have been provided with communal recycling bins in which a wide range of materials can be recycled. Every property on this scheme should also have a reusable bag to help make recycling much more convenient for residents.

If you live in a block of flats and have no or limited recycling facilities please contact the Recycling Team at recycling@bedford.gov.uk.

How to use your reusable recycling bag:

1. Fill up your bag with your clean recycling.   2. Take your bag down to the communal recycling bin and empty it into the bins.   3. Bring your bag back up to your flat to fill up again and again.

What can NOT be recycled in the flats recycling bins?

No Thanks

 

We will also not accept:  Car parts, garden waste, electrical appliances, carpets and DIY waste.

Our bins have not been emptied, what can I do?

If your flats recycling bins have not been emptied please use our online form or call 01234 718060.
