Friendships

Relationships are a big part of everyone's lives, and growing up, our friendship groups can sometimes start to change as we change schools, start different hobbies and interests and for many other reasons.

The CYH website is for children and young people who would like information and support about friendships

Sometimes as we get older, we start to have boyfriends or girlfriends. This can be a difficult time for lots of young people and you may start to have questions. If you feel you would like to talk to someone, other than friends, family or teachers, you can contact ChildLine on: 0800 1111

We know that sometimes it's hard to make friends or sometimes you can fall out with friends and this might upset you.

To read more about making friends and what this means or to get help if you have any worries about friendships, you can  visit the ChildLine page.

Disrespect NoBody campaign

The second phase of the Home Office Disrespect Nobody campaign will run from 2 February until the end of March 2017.

The aim of the Disrespect NoBody campaign is to prevent young people, both boys and girls aged 12 to 18 years old from becoming perpetrators and victims of abusive relationships.

For 2017 the focus of the campaign will be consent and sexting, which are both issues where many young people need more education and information. The campaign advertising directs young people to the website www.disrespectnobody.co.uk where they can get further information and signposts them to organisations who can provide support.
