Community inclusion

Service description

Adult Social Groups

Offering a selection of social activities in local communities, supported by paid and voluntary staff.  You will be able to select activities that you would like to undertake from those offered.  The activities can range from going out for a meal, going to a pub quiz, sport, outings to places further away (eg London or the coast) or interest specific activities eg animation or transport.  There will also be sessions based in local centres where you can just ‘chill out and relax’ with others, develop social skills in a safe environment and build friendships with others.

Adult Skills Project

Offering structured small group work (or 1:1 work leading to group work) enabling you to explore and understand your autism, to work towards and gain support in volunteering or employment, independence skills, to undertake personal development programmes and other relevant topics.  Activities, guest speakers, outings and projects are important parts of this work.

Personal Support

Available alongside other services, 1:1 personal support can be offered to help you with specific personal development issues, support in the work place, accessing leisure activities and other relevant issues specific to you.
