Community Inclusion

Service description

At Walsingham we support people to be active community members.  We can support you to work, volunteer, attend college, meet friends and family, shop, go to restaurants, use local amenities such as leisure centres and access community groups – the choice is yours!

We support each person as an individual.  By working with you to develop you own person-centred plan, we will tailor our support to meet your needs with dignity and respect.  And working in partnership with agencies such as landlords and health professionals means we can focus on meeting all your needs.

Our experience staff work in small teams so you will get to know everyone – and they will quickly learn how you like to be supported.

We support people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible by working together to ensure their accommodation is suitable, to obtain their full benefits and to plan for changes.

We also provide enablement packages for people moving out of residential care or hospital.  Providing intensive support initially, we encourage people to learn new skills and become more independent so they need less support over time.
