Care Assistants

As a member of the care team at one of our residential care homes, you will provide care to the highest standard in accordance with the needs of the resident as assessed and planned. 

Care Assistants support the physical and emotional needs of residents to enable them to maintain maximum independence in a safe environment.

All Care Assistants will be required to work alternate weekends, some evenings, and Public Holidays.  Shifts are split between day shifts which cover the period from 7:00am to 9:30pm, and night shifts which cover 9:00pm to 7:30am.  Day shifts are usually 5 hours and will either be earlty shifts (7.00/7.30 am - 2.00/2.30pm) or late shifts (2.00/2.30pm - 9.00/9.30pm) and staff will work a mix of both early and late shifts.

The starting salary for this role is £15,507 pro rata per annum (plus living wage supplement to £15,917 pro rata per annum)

Southway, London Road, Bedford

  • Day Shifts - 28 hours per week
  • Night shifts - 30 or 20 hours per week

 

Puttenhoe, Putnoe Street, Bedford

  • Day shifts - 17 hours per week
  • Night shifts - 22.5 hours per week

 

Brookside, High Street, Kempston

  • Day shifts - 30 or 24 hours per week

 

Parkside, Bedford Road, Kempston

  • Day shifts - 14 hours per week

 

Rivermead, Halsey Road, Kempston

  • Day shifts - 21 or 14 hours per week
  • Night shifts - 20 or 25 hours per week

 

Highfield, Avon Drive, Brickhill, Bedford

  • Day shifts - 28 hours per week

 

We are also looking for Bank staff to work at our care homes.
