Advanced Social Worker - Apply now!

Salary: £36,019 - £40,619 per annum + market rate supplement of £1,200 (subject to annual review)

You will carry a workload requiring exemplary practice in situations of high complexity, exercising a degree of autonomy and, if required, to provide direct supervision to staff as directed by the Team Manager.  Regular supervision will be in accordance with the departmental supervision policy.

You will provide professional and management advice, leadership, and supervision/mentoring to less experienced colleagues, and monitor and assure standards of professional practice to achieve positive outcomes for service users.

You must have a relevant professional qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent) and:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as a Social Worker in Adult Social Care/equivalent.
  • If qualified since 2010 successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment or equivalent proven practice and successful probationary period.
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • Evidence of learning through CPD and/or post graduate study
  • Hold a driving licence and use of a suitably insured vehicle for business purposes.

 

Adult Learning Disability Team

The ALDT is an integrated team of qualified social workers and learning disability nurses, providing diverse and creative support for adults with learning disabilities within the borough of Bedford.

The team is registered under the care quality Commission, due to providing regulated activities under the Health and social care act 2008 (regulated activities) regulations 2010.

The adult learning disability team focuses throughout on what people can do, with support where necessary, rather than on what they cannot do, the service is operated by the integrated team is based on the principles of valuing people now;
