Pregnancy Exercise Information

From 2011 to 2015, the Sports Development Unit ran the KickStart project which were pre and post natal exercise sessions for women with a raised BMI or for women that have gained excess weight through pregnancy.

 

Unfortunately this project has come to an end. There will be similar programmes organised via a weight management organisation called Beezee Bodies. Post natal physical Activity programmes are designed to:

  • Introduce you to new physical activity
  • Improve your fitness levels
  • Give you more confidence to attend local classes after the programme has finished
  • Help you achieve a healthy weight after the birth
