Funding available until 2017!
Sportivate is a Sport England
initiative open to everyone aged between 11 and 25 and aimed to
capture the excitement of London 2012. The programme seeks to
provide attractive sporting opportunities for teenagers and young
adults in a sport of their choice. With many young people dropping
out of sport in their teens and early twenties, the need has been
identified to motivate them to ‘give a sport anther go’ or to try
something completely new.
Sport England have invested £32 million of
National Lottery funding into the programme, which was launched in
early Summer 2011. We have just been told that fund is now
available until March 2017. Over this period, hundreds of
thousands of youngsters will enjoy six weeks of coaching at a local
venue – and will receive guidance on exit routes into the Sport at
the conclusion of the programme.

amount of £15000 to help support initiatives in our area. The
funding is awarded to projects who meet the Sportivate criteria
