In the Event of a Collision

If you are involved in a collision  which causes damage or injury to any other person,vehicle,roadside propertyhorse,cow,ass, mule,sheep,pig,goat or dog not in the vehicle:

You must stop and

  • Give your name and the vehicle owner's name and address and the registration number of the vehicle to anyone having reasonable grounds for requesting them.
  • If you do not give your name and address at the time of the collision, report the collision to the police within 24 hours
  • Produce your insurance certificate to the police either when reporting the collision, or within 7 days at the police station you select.
